Forum Rules for all eX Forums

1. Pornography -- This forum is for ALL AGES -- so absolutely no pornography or sexually explicit posts, nor links to them. These will be deleted on sight.
2. Harassment -- Humor and friendly kidding among willing participants is fine. But unwelcome harassment is not. If someone is harassing you on the forum, ask them to stop, and do not attack them back. If they continue, send a Private Message to the forum moderator or one of the High Council members, who will see that the harassment is stopped.
3. Respect, Racism and Fighting -- Please show respect to everyone on the forum. Racism will not be tolerated. Also, please avoid starting and carrying on fights.
4. Impersonation -- Impersonating another member of the forum is not allowed -- such as using a forum user name resembling another member's user name.
5. SPAM -- Spam, as defined on this forum, is posting a thread that, generally speaking, has no use to any member, such as: "My butt itches" or "I like pie". These posts are not welcome outside the Miscellaneous forum. (the old "S-P-A-M Bomb" letters are being retired)
__a. As spam is somewhat hard to define, forum admins will use their common sense in identifying it -- as well as deciding if they will give a full forum violation, or instead, simply informing the poster they are posting spam or something too close to spam.
__b. Spam is generally OK to post in the Miscellaneous forum -- although posting multiple spam threads (such as posting the same thread message multiple times) in the Misc forum, within one or two days, can be cited as a forum violation.
6. Violation System -- Depending on the severity and intent of the violation, persons breaking the forum rules will be given an informative informal warning (not an official violation), a Violation Warning (official violation), a suspension or permanent ban. Individual recorded violations older than 6 months will no longer be counted against the violator, but will be considered in future forum violation consequences.
Violation Consequence Steps:
1. First Warning
2. Final Warning
3. One Week Suspension
4. Two Week Suspension
5. Referred to HC for more severe action
7. Defining One Violation Instance -- Forum violations will be given according to "violation instances". This means violations will not be given for each violating word or phrase in one post, nor for every violating post in one thread. Rather, each violation instance, in each thread, will be counted as one violation.
As an example: if two people are fighting in one thread, and both people post more than one post that contains violations, they will both be given one violation each. However, if they continue to commit violations in the same thread, after the warning is given, those will be counted as new violations. Also, every thread, with one or more violating posts, will each be counted as a violation instance, each receiving one violation.
8. Rules on Deleting and Moving Posts -- Never edit or delete the text of any poster, and do not move threads to the Debate Forum.
__a. Never edit or delete the text of any poster -- Only pornography, and links to pornography, must be deleted on sight. You may also delete clear-cut double posts, and may delete a post if the poster asks that their post be deleted. If you need to give a post a forum violation, you may write your message, IN ALL CAPS, in their post, below their text, but you must make it clear that you are the author of the text you write.
__b. Do not move threads to the Debate Forum -- One reason is -- the Debate forum has special rules unique to that forum. If you move a thread to the Debate forum, some of the posts may contain Debate forum violations. Those users cannot be given Debate forum violations, because they posted under the assumption that they were posting under the Misc forum rules. And in the Debate forum, the violating posts cannot remain in the forum. So dont' move them there.
Even if you were to scan the thread for Debate forum violations, before you considered moving it -- Currently there are no subject matter restrictions for the Misc forum, except for pornography and sexually explicit text. A poster may decide to post their subject under the Misc forum rules instead of the Debate for rules. Misc forum posters must still follow the eX's Forum Rules, regardless of the subject matter. eX Clan Rules: (there may be other eX rules)
1. You may be a member of another clan while you are a member of eX -- as long as you do not play the SAME GAME for both eX and another clan. This is because it creates a conflict of interest when clans play in tournaments and the like. As always, we encourage our fellow members to join eX's chapters for any game they play; but if you do play a game for another clan, and eX has a chapter for that same game, that is OK.
