Forum Ranks -- Everyone registered on the forum will now have one of Five Basic ranks for their FORUM RANK (not chapter rank).
Chapter Ranks -- Every eX Member will now put their CHAPTER RANK(s), medals, awards, etc, in their signature area -- that's the area that shows below all of your posts. You can access your signature area by going into your forum User Control Panel (profile area), click on your Profile tab, click on the Edit Signature link, type-in your chapter rank and eX Chapter name, and then click the Submit button.
As an example, you can see in my signature below I've entered my chapter rank "Private -- eX Counter-strike: Source Chapter".

5. a specialized forum rank (HC, CC, Manager, etc)
Your FORUM RANK is what rank shows directly below your forum user name, on the far right side of all your posts (location may vary depending on which forum style option you've selected). So you will see your FORUM RANK change to one of these very soon. If you don't know what your current CHAPTER RANK is, please ask your Chapter Commander.
CHAPTER RANKS:
Our current CHAPTER RANK system has not changed. That system is still this: the Chapter Commander chooses his chapter's ranking system; which may be our basic eX 12 military rank system, no ranks, or something the Chapter Commander creates himself to specifically match his chapter's gametype or chapter goals.
eXistence Default 12-Rank Template:

2. Private - full member, access to all general member-only forums; may recruit.

4. Corporal

6. Staff Sergeant

Deputy CC (Adjunct Rank):
The Deputy CC is an adjunct/supplementary chapter rank designed to help out the CC (Chapter Commander) exactly when and where the CC needs assistance. The Deputy CC will be appointed by the CC to complete a certain task, such as -- facilitate/host and run all Sunday night games; or sign up, setup and organize all chapter tournament games; etc. The CC may appoint up to two Deputy CCs for the chapter. A Deputy CC may currently be any chapter rank. A Deputy CC may still be promoted ranks while he/she is a Deputy CC. A member may refuse to become a Deputy CC. A member may volunteer to be a Deputy CC, and the CC will decide if they want to do that. A CC may remove the rank of Deputy CC when the task is completed, or whenever the CC decides. This is not a rank demotion. The Deputy CC is the top rank over the task the CC gives them, as with all ranks, their authority comes from the CC.
